Sorry I don’t have the address for the ABC TechTalk on this computer so I’m asking here…what is a good free convert to .pdf programme, suitable for Word 2010?
Please.

Wow, just went looking myself and you can do it inside MS Word. In the Save As, you can save as File Type … and PDF is one of the options!

Thanks Trichome :)
Do you know if it’s possible to insert a .pdf file into Word 2010? Sometimes I have to scan stuff as they are Annexures, but I haven’t found a way to electronically combine the scans with the reports so they get sent as Report, Annexure A, Annexure B etc…and the receiver has to print them out and combine them that way…which is the same thing in the end I suppose, but it’s better if it’s one electronic document…

If you had Photoshop you could open the .pdf in Photoshop and then save it as a jpg to insert in Word. A bit round about, but it works.

Having said that you can only open 1 page at a time of the .pdf in Photoshop :(
It’s worth mucking around with, thanks AnneS…
The other alternative is to scan the lot (after printing out the Word document) as one document, if you know what I mean…
Hi,
Windows has a piece of software called the “Snipping Tool” which may already be on your pc if you search for it.
It is easy to take direct screen grabs of pdfs and paste them into word docs. Still only one page at a time though :(
Before I found that I would PrntScn then paste into MSPaint, and then cut+paste. Annoying and often bad resolution.

Hi Podzol…I’m back on Windoze XP now, but I did wonder what the “Snipping Tool” was for. It used to be present in the StartUp Menu.
Yes the Alt + PrntScr was tried, clumsy and as you say, bad resolution…also difficult to convert the finished MS Word product into a .pdf. The .pdf conversion meant the document couldn’t be fiddled with and also it was smaller than the MS Word for emailing.

The Snipping Tool is great. I have used it a few times now.
