I wonder if they got approval from Ansel Adams’ estate to print his photograph. ;)

Rather ironic that computer controlled 3D printer technology is being used to create faded copies of b&w photographs from 70 years ago :)

it’d be great if you were blind… you’d be able to ‘see’ the photograph.

Hadn’t thought of that.

Would be interesting to know how blind people react to these things.

Would they be able to get some sense of the image, I wonder?

actually, unless they ahd a point of ref, (eg they had vision then went blind) I guess it’s be hard to tell what a mountain is.. unless you showed them the mountain in the picture and then made them climb one.. that’d give some reference…

still, I imagine that soon we’ll be making our own body parts.. like bones (esp. hips) to replace worn out ones.. structured in the same way… skin would be a good one.. I wonder when we’ll be able to print skin…
