hello goes my question is how to save lettuce seeds ill take a photo of what the lettuce now and can u guys tell me when to start haverseting the seed from it all information is welcome here. thanks in advance Veg Gardener

so lucky when it has little flower heads on them ill take a photo for u and post them here ok

You can wait a bit longer if you wish.

By pulling out the whole plant as it dies slowly, it’ll fed the up coming flowers.

will they self seed in my garden becuase i dont want that to happen i already have that bed ready to plant silverbeet into and i have the seedlings ready so what would be a good idea?? pick now or later u have been gardening longer

I wait until the seeds are ready before picking them and putting them in a bag – you know when that happens when they start looking fluffy. You may get some reseeding in the bed though.

i let mine go to seed. they’ll come up as weeds – but its easy to transplant or just pull them out.
the downside of my method is – if you topdress with manure and mulch you smother them all.
