I’m fairly good at plants in general, but what is this? It comes up in Casterton, and has for years. I’ve never seen a flower, but then again, I always pull it out….

Thanks, I’m sure it is really obvious.

If it is Syngonium then homeowners and yard workers need to be aware of the severe skin burning sensations caused by the plants sap containing oxalic acid and the eye damage potential from raphides .

Yeah, I looked that up, but these have never grown to a vine. And some of t hem are in the driest of dry places. It’s only ever go to looking like an arum lily leaf thing.

And now I’ve mentioned that……

I’d say it’s Italian arum and is an environmental weed in Victoria. So I’ll really have to get on to getting rid of it properly. I wonder why it has never flowered (maybe I have been ripping the leaves off quite effectively…)
