Why don’t you use a search engine for example, yahoo or google to look for that information, Veg. Then you can tell us!

I have put in mulberry cuttings just whenever I have needed to trim , or have a bit spare stem when I cut fodder for the poultry, stems for stakes or stems for weaving or whatever. My mulberries are both grown from cutting that I put in – they take root quite readily. I can’t tell you anything about the other – without looking it up :)

it’s really a shame to see such a large volume of good trimming material go to green collections done by councils at least yearly. huge piles of good stuff that could be used for weaving etc put on nature strips. there was one recently here. since the approx 1 tonne of tree trimmings was only two doors up from me…i used it all to make mulch for front yard. wish more stuff was closer, as i wasn’t going to cart the stuff by car (don’t have a trailer.)
anyway, i’ve also used tree cuttings just stuck into the ground, as climbing supports for peas.
how does that saying go again?…one person’s trash is another’s treasure……….i believe i have still a lot to learn about re-using and re-cycling.
