hello

Veg Gardener recommended this forum to me, as i do a little bit of gardening with my mum.I live on a small plantation and we try to run the property using mostly organic and permaculture principles. We grow Mangoes, Bananas, Figs, Lemons, Limes, Papia and mulberries (our permanent trees) and we have a vegetable patch with zucchini, cherry tomatoes, cauliflower, peas, beans, broccoli, sweet corn, beetroot, silverbeet, lettuce, capsicum, chilli, pumpkin, eggplant and some others i can’t remember. we also have various herbs a around the place such as Rosemary, lemongrass, basil, baylaurel, curry leaf tree, galangal, Parsley, mint, ginger, chives, and the list goes on.

hope to learn something from this site and pass what I know on to others

Em

ok, my chooks

we have three OLD isa browns, we did have five but we suspect that two of them died from ovarian cancer.
We have one light sussex rooster called li’l roostie or nancie boy.
and a Gary (black and white muscovy drake, mostlye black). In two weeks we will be getting four new chicki babes (unsure of what breed as of yet) and two white ducks to keep Mr Gary happy.
They all live in a large chook pen down the back amongst some of the mango trees (we have 50 mango trees by the way, lol)

what sort of gardening are you into? do you keep ducks/chooks/etc?
