My lappy is a year old and the shop installed Norton Anti Virus is hassling me to renew coverage for 50 bucks.

Worthwhile or not? Or for the same price are there better options.

My thinking as well. I have never paid for one before. Still happy to hear options, and advice on how to get rid of Norton. My system is Windows 8.

I wouldn’t use AVG anymore because it tends to be a resource hog. Avira is OK but I have MS Security Essentials because I’m damn lazy!
