I’m not going to buy into the argument here at all, other than to say Kii always gave as good as she got and a lot of the abrasiveness seemed to be directed towards having the forum run in the form she found acceptable. An attitude that was always going to cause friction. We’re a very loosely coupled group of individuals, and the fact we all get along as well as we do is pretty special, I think.

I am sorry to hear things are not good in your real life, and it’s always best to step back from things which cause conflict in these sorts of times. I hope things improve for you and your family soon.

Anyway. I stopped work this morn to accommodate a couple of aboriginal people to do a dig under where I suggested the human femur came from. Photos soon.

We dug out a bottlebrush and the area on the side where I found the femur. We did this because I suggested that the bone came to the surface at the time I planted the bottlebrush. We did not find any other bones.

Conclusion is that without further exploration.. Since the said femur did not have canine teeth impressions.. that it was more likely carried by the grader. The original road came through and the hump where i found the bone corresponds with road grading.

Appears I’m oblivious to most of the stuff that goes down on this forum. Must all happen in the chat threads. That nasty post of Morrie’s would not constitute bullying, IMO, unless it were part of a concerted or pervasive and persistent pattern. I’ve been oblivious to any bullying but don’t doubt that it occurs.

I have to agree with Dropbear (again) that it’s pretty amazing how we’ve lasted so long considering how different we all are and how fucking hard it is to display nuance and emotion in a text format like this.

I do think some people here could be a lot more tolerant of those comments that they think are offensive, when in many cases they actually aren’t.

In the sense that we have different outlooks , social norms and cultural influences and experiences. Therefore people will be offended from time to time.

May I suggest there might be some level of maturity in that understanding and becoming more aware or agreeing to disagree from time to time could represent mutual respect and understanding of difference at time.

The response to his actions on most fronts hasn’t been so glowing. He is not good being friendly(looks kinda scary when he smiles) and the sorts of enemy he is pre-disposed to may not be a good investment for Australia over time.

Personally, I think kii was her own worst enemy. She bitched about people not agreeing with her, moaned about people who were “too positive” (she actually told one forum member to stop writing so much positive stuff on facebook) and moaned about everybody else. The majority of her posts were negative or inflammatory and I for one will not miss them. Morrie’s post, which is what I assumed to be the trigger to this bat/ball/home business was just giving back to kii what she dished out to many others on a daily basis.

I hope she sorts out her issues, they have been building for a couple of years now – so much hate and anger in someone’s life is not good for them.

The trick, for those visiting (which is a matter of perspective depending how much time you spend here or elsewhere and importance attributed), is to remember the asylum is the world in ones own head, and to try to be a little gracious and considerate when some of it leaks out. It might be seen that to be social is to let some of asylum wander or to have it expand and involve others. It gets somewhat worse I suppose than that even, when some may migrate the asylum elsewhere, the worst of it, like being chucked a grenade.

You’d think a cranium etc would be enough to keep the asylum in one place. Some think the cranium etc are to protect the brain from physical injury, but this is not entirely the case. It is in fact so the contents don’t fall out all over the place and make a mess, so others don’t have to negotiate it and clean it up.
