I’ve a real life anecdotal experience to share here. A young man once became enamoured of talking to me about such stuff and really really got into Carlos Castaneda.. to the point where he actually thought it was part of his scenario. Last seen he was serving in the looney part of the her majesty’s service for murdering his flatmate with a brick.

No. The last time I spoke to him he was on family release over Christmas and he wanted, really really wanted to come and discuss with me how to put his head back together.. I’m afraid I had to tell him that my babies were now cognizant of conversations in the room and that my children mattered more to me than his family had ever been to him..

I’ve had enough exposure to have already provided barb wire and trenches between my personal space and anyone who hasn’t got the accumulated knowledge of at least ten of the years I’ve spent having overnight, shedlit conversations on such topics as “How many ways can you torture a cat without physically harming it?” and “How many tug boats would you need drag the mini-continent of Israel back where it belongs next to the Statue of Liberty?” as security credential. I don’t know your stories but we all got history.

And as an aside, what is your knowledge of the military based on? You keep dropping hints.

Well if you want to stick to that story, your father refused permission, so you didn’t end up with any military experience. Never done any time.

Nope, all gone when SSSF died. But you are the one hinting various military derring dos and being incredibly coy. Official Secrets Act?

What I said was:
I was selected from all the Australian cadets. to go straight into training to be an officer trainer., in common parlance.

what this meant tha if you happened to go to Duntroon, I’d have been the officer training you.

My father didn’t refuse.

He gave me the option and I took it.

fanciful.

My father accepted the nomination but said.. and I could hear him from the other room.. “I am his guardian(I was 15) but essentially he is the one you need to put this question to”.

They came into my bedroom and put the data in my head. My reply was.. “OK so you know that I accomplished all of what you recorded in cadet trials. However this does not make me want to train people about killing in order to put medals on your chests”.

an aside here.. My dad put his life on the line for his mates and his superior did interfere with dispatches so that my fathers recommendations didn’t reach top brass.

No way was I going to play real war games with real people’s lives for fantasists.

I had a few questions primed about Duntroon, not searchable on google but would have been known to anyone who has been there, but luckily your military experience consists of school cadets. No harm in that.

Nothing more? Nahhh lots of embellishing if you want to stick to your new version that Generals were not trying to recruit you to teach sniping. Even today this of yours, “If that doesn’t crystalise then you should know that you needed someone with my capacity on operations.”

Operations? Capability? puhleeeeze. I am just glad after years of hinting at derring the entirety of your military experience is confirmed as a kid at cadets.

My error, overtrained, I read capacity as capability, which is a very military term.

If anything.. I may have alluded to the fact that a sniper could easily train dead officers.

Oh jeeze, so much wrong. See this is the crap I mean. It may sound funky, and it lends that air that you are ex military, but trust me, no one ever in the history of the army has ever said “I was not in sniper Training Command”. The sentence doesn’t even make sense, something you would know if you had a clue what Trg Cmd does.

As ex mil I am positive Sibeen if he sees this thread would agree.

I think you are a nice guy roughy, a bit loopy but well intentioned, but sentences like “repeat I was not in sniper training command” are not only nonsensical to anyone who has served they might lead others to think you are military in some other way.

Just playing with your mind space.. How many soldiers come home sane?

I can see goalposts shifting, who said anything about the military? Govt employment is not restricted to the military you know.

And as an aside, what is your knowledge of the military based on? You keep dropping hints.
