Last year I had a range of gladioli colours… yellow, orange, purple, red and some two tone ones. As garden was rearranged, I lifted all corms and planted them in a different area.

Lots of flowers BUT all except three red ones, are orange/salmon colour … no purple or yellow! Also, there are several small plants in the ‘old spots’ (obviously little corms that got left behind) and they too are all the same colour … orange. Even those that are growing where the original purple patch was!

QUESTION: do gladioli revert to a base colour? Or what could be the explanation for this?
