Is that 2nd from the bottom one rhubarb? I LOVES rhubarb. Yum, yum. I’m thinking of setting some area in my top bed (eventually) for perenials like rhubarb and aspargus and strawberries. OR my other option is to create a bed down the driveway. There’s a space about 6 or 7 inches wide between the fence and concrete. Currently has crepe myrtle (which we’ve pruned violently so may not come back). I’m considering putting a raised bed along the length and then filling it with good soil. But that’s a definite next year think about it project.

Yes, its Rhubarb, Sue. I’ve just replanted it in its new bed, hope it survives the experience. It’s looking OK so far.

Ermmmm.. I didn’t mean it’s died..it’s flourishing when it shouldn’t be !
In fact so are gerberas, cactus.. ferns with new fronds..I don’t know what’s going on, none of these are supposed to be in flower atm but they are …I’m going to ask at the nursery on sat. Not that we have had a severe frost or even get them, but there has been a couple light frosts.
Scratching head…

Recently on GA they mentioned that stressed trees often flower out of season. I guess its kinda a panic response. They think they’re going to die so they throw out as much reproductive material as possible.
