some one in a conversation suggested that the growing of hemp in ground that is contaminated is some ways. have a cleaning effect on the soil.
Is there any thing that suggests that this is in some way true :)

I believe hemp (like a few other plants) will remove heavy metals from soil. You are then left with the problem of what to do with the hemp.

Many plants produce pheremones and enzymes etc which do make the soil more comfortable for themselves.
Cannabis is well renowned for not being disease of pest susceptible.

Send it to whatever US State has legalised it, and market it as ‘Heavy Metal Weed’.
Can’t say they weren’t warned.

Anyway, if hemp is capable, it is going to pull heavy metals out of any soil profile and maybe we should process it for the gold content in some instances.

Might work, if all the gold is concentrated in the top, say, 50 cm of soil.

You’ve measured the root system of cannabis then?
