Has anybody grown Broccolini? I do not like Brocolli but I think I love Broccolini. I’ve only eaten it twice and I would like to try growing some at home. Is it a winter veg like it’s cousins?

I haven’t tried growing it. AFAIK it is just another form of broccoli, or rather the large heads that we know as broccoli are another form of these…

Evening all. I thought broccoli was a genetic combination of broccoli and cauliflower.

I think you are thinking of Romanesco broccoli. Broccolini is like the small side shoots of broccoli.

It’s a cross between Broccoli and Gai Lan (Chinese Kale).
