Subject: profiling the measurement strata

Where and of what in relation to human activity is most measurement being done, and/or applied?

I appreciate this is a complex question, and depends on the defining criteria applied, and however what of the objective/s of the question are defined.

My purpose is probably in the territory of systems theory, and am probing what of measurement individuals are and are not aware of (including distortions of awareness perhaps).

I’ve been monitoring the Transition Obscurity Index.

Currently at 127% of the long term average.

Just spiked to 136.

The short version.

Where and to do with what are humans doing most measurement, including machines of any sort.

Measurement of what people are searching for, I should think.

Where the money is being spent.

Measuring the universe exactly from end to end is proving a bit of a challenge

is that what you mean, or measuring the distance to the moon

or measuring other stuff?

Was wondering of you did a system overview of human activities, what would characterize it from the perspective where and for what purpose most of measurement is being done. This would of course involve the measurement being put to work, so maybe add computation to the proposition.

surely time would be highly ranked.

I’d think so.

I’d say electrical current, data flow and heat.
