Most realistic one I’ve heard was concocted by a guy on my car forum.

His theory is that when you walk into a service station there’s often an Indian student on the counter and they’re on the phone.
They are in fact on the phone for customer service for companies like Telstra, Optus, etc.

that’s the beauty of conspiracy theories.. they don’t need to make sense..

a conspiracy story used by governments are normally obvious

“chemtrails” for example

you just seed the net with conspiracies and let the lunatic fringe that normally has way too much time on their hands go on a wild goose chase

Normally you’d need at least two people involved for a conspiracy to occur.

I read a comment from someone saying they took a wrong turn at Albuquerque and ended up on the moon, but managed to stop along the way to pick up another couple of engines.

Fair enough, I guess, as they’d need the extra engines to get there.
