Subject: Android Tablet

I have an android tablet that keeps rebooting every 5 minutes

its started after the last system update, its an ASUS Transformer Pad tf300fg

I tried the factory default option, but it fails to delete any apps

I downloaded a new android image, and ran that from the sd card

and again tried the factory default option to delete everything but no luck with that either

any suggestions?

is there a way to run the image and delete user apps at the same time?

These are the instructions I received from Asus live chat:

Press and hold down “power button” until the system shuts down.
Press and hold down “Volume down” button first, and then press and hold down the “Power”
button until the below screen appears
Do not press any button until the below screen appears.
There’s a line “Press <Vol_Up> to execute, <Vol_Down> to cancel wiping data. Press Volume Up
button to execute the “Wipe Data”.
After the “Wipe Data” process is done, it will reboot automatically. Then Eee Pad should be able
to enter the system successfully.

When I hold the power button down, nothing happens. So,

I would advise that you allow the battery to die then try the steps that I have provided above.
With the charger connected.

Someone gave me an Android tablet the other day. If I stick my wifi hotspot in the fork of a tree on the bend in the track just past the roo camp to the west of the shed, I can get the internet on it.
Woohoo.
