Due to my unseemly brilliant language skills, I’m proud to say that I’ve been banned from a forum!

I dared to use the word “Damn” (as in “Damn good”), and then had the temerity to defend myself on its use in the English language while on an international forum based in the US. Personally, I feel proud!

Fair enough, I knew their (hypocritical) standards beforehand, but I posted a polite farewell message to those who knew me. The bit that pisses me off is that it was deleted before anyone could read it.

If anyone ever feels the need to express their puerile need for “free speech” …Or Dawg forgive me, this forum ever falls over again,…… Please, feel fee to express yourself in the most fruity language at your command at:

It’s actually not a bad community. Perhaps I’m just a pretentious git in refusing to accept Cromwellian ideals…..

It was a relief in the end.

God, it gets boring talking about the same thing day after day with eleventy billion newbies and being expected to carry your own weight on the basics (Why are my fish dying – I know nothing and treat them like crap..) It“s hard enough having to do this sort of stuff at work each day without people who can’t use Google to work out the basics.

I was almost banned for complaining to the admin that they should fix their spellcheck because the word cockatoo wasn’t pornographic.

I’m sure your humbleness and humanity are completely appreciated on this forum. We are not worthy…

The ‘damn’ thing was probably the straw.
You’ve probably been trashing a Fish Forum with holiday threads.
Probably always talking about going on holidays, telling them how good the weather is in Manchester.
Telling them that you got great deals on MasterCard in Taiwan, telling them the hotels are crap in LA and showing them endless photos of you on holidays.

You probably deserved to get banned.

I find it very annoying that US TV shows bleep out what they consider offensive language on the original footage.
It’s fine for them to bleep prior to US broadcast but should leave the “offensive” word/s in for other nations to censor or not depending on that nation’s standards.
