Anyone know the dynamic IP range for Telstra wireless? I’ve installed Zonealarm on my sister’s PC and want to list the IP range as ‘trusted’ so that it doesn’t keep asking her each time she connects.

I suspect you’ll be a long time allowing all the possibilities.
*ask
maybe dis?
Telstra Mobile Broadband IP Ranges
If you have a mobile device using the telstra.extranet APN, you will be give a 123.209.xxx.xxx address, or at least this is the only address range we have ever seen across a large number of services… i would assume that its possible for addresses to spill onto another range, but it hasn’t happened to us yet.
Thinking about it, I’m sure you only have to protect your computers address, which I don’t think changes.
Range is to broad, methinks. My sis will just have to learn to deal with it.
Telstra Additional Block of IP address allocation
from the link
Assuming that your enquiry is identical to those posted by fmhlimo, then you would need to place ipblock in against this service via Custdata then get assistance with configuring your modem from a private tech or contacting our Telstra Platinum team on 1800 202 766.
Telstra BigPond Technical Support
Looks like a phone call maybe
https://www.google.com.au/search?q=what+is+my+ip&oq=what+is+my+ip
It doesn’t give you the address range, but it gives you a clue.
Too late – lost interest. I’m over it. After all, I am tryin to deal with a person who has been using XP for over 3 years but still doesn’t know what to do when I tell her to minimise the window.

Aak for a static address.I suspect you’ll be a long time allowing all the possibilities.
Can you get a static address on a wireless network ?
I investigated using my home PC as a web server but gave up because I read somewhere that static IP’s were not available on Telstra wireless.

All a bit mysterious, I’ve never noticed my address to change, (it’s displayed on the bottom line of the browser).I am with Vodaphone wireless but.
It should only change when you logoff and back on again, not once you are connected.
And you can run a server with a dynamic DNS by using a program called “DynDNS”.

You’re talking about the IP address allocated by your ADSL modem? That is different to that which is allocated by your ISP.

Make sure that Windows XP is updated to either Service Pack 2 or 3 and use Windows firewall. You don’t need Zone Alarm.
