Joe and his mates, largely hidden from the public,(same as previous governments but trending more so) are about increasing the power of the apparatus (business inclusive) to force people to work. Consider the prospect of say a 65 year old person getting phone calls from employment agencies and centrelink to do with search for work obligations, and them having their payments bounced for non-compliance, and en route to having payments reinstated there will be specialized techniques involving creative ways. Rover will be giving old mother hubbard the bone.

There will also be a backdrop of medical assessment procedures tp ‘encourage’ compliance.

In addition all this, contractual obligations will be part of the enforcement tools (again, more so), both parties wont be contributing equally to the terms and conditions and arrangements of the contractual agreements, of youth similarly and others.

Along with the forced agreements the government and those it outsources services will have rights to aquire much information about individuals, control how information is given context and stored and who has access to it. This is just the formal aspects, there is also informal aspects (lending to informal behaviour controls)..

Much of this will be made possible the moment individuals feel inclined to hand over their mobile and home phone numbers.

I’m beginning to wonder what the correlation coefficient is between “work” and “income”. Could it be that they are completely uncorrelated?
