Well Happy Birthday Rough, you maybe in the outback doing a bit of fossicking ?

It’s been 6 weeks now with no sight nor sound.

It’s most unusual. Normally we get all the plans etc and the costs and all that. The sudden stop in posts is odd.

I have looked and I can’t find the email addy —as I don’t know if I put it in his Rough name or his real name and I can’t remember his real name

checked my contacts and I have his email address so sent him a quick email. If he is out prospecting or his computer is down it may not help though.

I just rang roughy to check on his wellbeing.

He is alive and well but still having problems getting his computer going again, he also has bigger problems dealing with an aged MIL and finding another reliable ute. He said the break from the internet has helped him catch up on many neglected tasks.

He said he will be back again,sometime soon.

PS He said to tell buffy to pass on his thanks to all those people in the gardening forum that remembered his birthday.

Oh I am so relieved and pleased to see that RoughBarked is still extant (if that’s the right word?)… have been missing his contributions something shocking…

Hi. Trying setting up Mil’s computer to be able to quick link myself into here whenever I’m in town.

Despite the fact that it keeps telling me that XP is no longer supported.

My email addy’s are still the same and still working but I don’t have full access to them all from this computer.. yet. ;)

..working on things and bookmarking them. … Getting there. Only have an hour or so at a time to play on this computer.

I want to thank tauto for calling me and reminding me that I may have been neglecting any of those whom may have missed my many posts.

There are a number of members who do actually have my contact details and could have used these to contact me if it was required. Tauto is one of those.

sadly MiL is now in high care. ie: nursing home and nobody is happy with the situation.

Is it a mobility issue or does she need medications regularly?

Actually she has macular degeneration and thus can only see light and dark. Hearing aids help otherwise she couldn’t hear either. She’s confined to bed or wheelchair. High care is high care.

Ah yes, I see the issues…thank goodness the hearing aids help…demoralising when you can’t hear…Mrs B next door has one completely deaf ear now and she sure notices it in the groups…

I have been completely deaf in one ear since I was 14. I’m still getting used t the arrangement.

The car and computer issues have not yet been repaired but it may all change very soon. It looks like I may be starting/restarting a new/old job. More news as it comes to hand…

Thank goodness for that…so pleased it’s starting to come together…
