I’d like to thank you all for your friendship, support, entertainment, and intellectual banter during this time.
Sorry I haven’t been posting on here that much since the old forum got closed down…
I promise that I’ll try to come in here more often from now on.

Meanwhile, we’re looking at moving away from the city and retiring, because there is so little work available for an old geologist.

We’ll probably spend our city house over the next seven years (or is it now ten years?).

I was out there this morning to talk to the tiler about my back splash in the kitchen.. it’s a very dramatic kitchen with black cupboards and pure whit stone bench tops.. so I made the back splash pure white with the odd splash of brightly coloured tile.. it goes through the ROYGBIV starting at the stove (hot ) and ending at the fridge (cold) I hope it turns out as it does in my head.. I’ll find out on wednesday .. these are the bits that excite me.. the finishing touches.. so far it has all come up to expectation because the builder has the same aesthetic as me.. it’s all about the look.

Nice. While “the look” is a nice thing, I don’t agree that it’s all about that. Function is important also (and it seems that is achieved for your splash-back).

well, yes.. ‘function’ is the reason I am well over budget.. but it’s all expected and I don;t think I’ll be moving from this place anytime soon.. so worth it

Wattie or jjjust moi, also known as Ian does not seem to be well known here, so to fill you in a little, he is married with at least one child and is in his early 50’s. He lived and worked in Esperance a few years back, but the last I heard had moved to Albany.

He was on the floor and some workment were trying scrape up his tongue and put it back in his mouth.

That’s not a fair description of the situation. The lady was doing her best to be desirable and I did like her bits, but the beer she gave us was not very nice. I drank the beer just because boobs.
