Made it back to Q without getting frostbite. We had a lovely time but being a grandmother is tough work I can tell you.

I’m going to read all the new topics but may give the chat a miss.

We will be fairly busy catching up on gardening jobs now before spring sets in. There is still lots of pruning and fert to do.

We are off again on the 27 Aug so it’s head down and bum up to get garden ship shape before that date.

Check in some time tomorrow.

Hi Pomolo, good to see you, and glad you’re back. You are a busy couple!
And yeah, being a Nana is hard work.. I reckon there should be a national holiday for Nanas and Grandmothers with complimentary Irish Baileys and a waiter , and a week off :D

Thanks for the welcome back. the day flew by and i didn’t get on to chat. Maybe tomorrow.

Rain and a storm here late last night. Only a few mls with lots of noise.

Had a big skip bin delivered today to get rid of all the tree branches we have chopped down. One skip won’t take it all and they are $80 a pop.

There are lots of tomatoes on the bushes but the strawberries aren’t very happy. Too much shade where they are. They have a better chance when the sun moves further east. I agree with you Pepe (I think it was Pepe) that you need to plant a lot of runners to get a decent feed of strawberries. One or two a day isn’t worth growing them for.

That’s it for now. Ni night!

Parting is such sweet sorrow and all that stuff.
