This log came in with a bag of wood. Never seen anything like this before, the white ring is a very bright white and goes the length of the log.

Any ideas?

What rolls down stairs
alone or in pairs,
and over your neighbor’s dog?
What’s great for a snack,
And fits on your back?
It’s log, log, log

It’s log, it’s log,
It’s big, it’s heavy, it’s wood.
It’s log, it’s log, it’s better than bad, it’s good.”

Everyone wants a log
You’re gonna love it, log
Come on and get your log
Everyone needs a log
log log log

Yep, the bark seems to say jarrah. can’t say I have seen that effect though.

It’s not Jarrah bark, it’s relatively smooth barked.

i’ve seen that fungus on other logs but not quite like the pic. usually see it where logs have been on the ground and damp.
