Of the LCD panel mount units you use in equipment…

You can get 7Day units, or 24Hour units. I use the latter (mostly) they have four ons and four off settings/day I think

Do these use like eeprom or something, and of whatever that might be some of it might be set by clock makers or set by chip makers..

Anyway my question is of age and errors. Would these likely go dodgy after many years, they’re maybe 20YO.

The fault is I have a bunch of them resetting intermittently, different units, and all the clocks would have been bought about the same time. Wipes the current time and on/interrupt times also, clears the clocks.

LCD is well known to play up but that isn’t anything to do with resetting. This is done in the circuit. Your problem could be anything to do with loose or corroded connections.

Bad batteries can cause resetting to occur.
