Disconnect transformer and hardwire power directly to cathode. Obtain extension lead long enough to reach the ground from the top of a very tall building. Place a particle you wish to smash at base of building on a little raised tray. Position cathode so that it is directly above particle tray at top of building. Attach extension lead, turn power on and drop cathode onto tray.
