Hi all

Just wondering about getting ears pinned back.

Does anyone know how much it costs and if its partly claimable at Medicare?

Not sure, but it’s probably day surgery for a plastic surgeon with a series of clinic visits before and after… add in the hospital costs and the anesthetist and I reckon you are looking at the best part of $5,000 (or more, depending on the surgeon and the hospital in question).

There are probably some costs that are claimable on Medicare and some on private health insurance but I’d think with an elective procedure like this you are likely looking at a pretty big out of pocket component.

How much does Otoplasty cost?

Cost will depend on the method and extent of surgery but may range from $4000. Medicare and health fund rebates are usually applicable. Our expert team at The Eden Institute will help you with this information.
