Far right elements in Western Ukraine are only a fraction of those who were protesting in the Maidan despite what Putin says.

Sanctions are a part of the war. It is a tepid war , Putin is seeing how far he can go to make sure he can be remembered as a Russian patriot, unlike Gorbachov and Yelstin who opened Russia to capitalism.

fixing kitchen equipment – its a start

I need to get some more certificates under my belt, in regional Australia work related training falls over and is virtually non existant

the major tafe in town only offers basic welding courses part time evening – in major centres its a fact of life that further education happens part time evening – how would anyone go any further than basic training?

I could do small electrical jobs on the weekend then and quickly go over the electrics of someone’s home to make sure its ok – way too many homes are wired wrongly or just don’t meet the AS3000 – they’ve been getting away with it for far too long – in QLD installation inspectors went the way of the dinosaur meaning many installations from new never met the AS3000. go figure

the whole electrical industry needs a revamp and I don’t mean more paperwork and hassle factor – practical revamps and retraining until electrical concepts are drilled into their heads.

one apprentice I knew that passed his capstone didn’t know the difference between AC and DC three days before the exam – that’s the quality levels of the QLD licence

I’ve seen teaching positions for electricians but wouldn’t be confident to teach it till I had my contractors licence , the cert IV is just BS in my opinion – electrical regs are things you have to drill into people

pointing at people randomly and asking them questions about the AS3000 is the only way to teach it – when they know they’ll be asked a question at least three times in 2 hours they will have to stay on the ball in the lesson

Jeebers something I agree with. It is a shocking instructional technique to say “who can tell me…” and pick from the raised hands. Ask the question and nominate.
