According to Back to the Future II the hoverboard was in use on 21 October 2015, but to date we haven’t actually seen one – well, not really. There have been videos apparently showing them, but they’ve all been fake. Now an American electrician has made a (almost) working one, but it only works under certain conditions.

Its not a hoverboard but Mythbusters attached a small model plane jet engine to a skateboard that was pretty cool

On Rocket City Rednecks they attached a pair of rockets to a hovercraft.

Back to the Future 2 also showed that humans controlled the weather, had self-tightening shoes and clothes, we all wore clear plastic ties and drove flying cars.

I’m quite glad we don’t have flying cars, a lot of humans haven’t mastered the art of driving on the ground yet.
