I came across an interesting new one many years ago. I was at a conference and although a visitor from China denied having any religion, he did honour me with a small mirror containing the likeness of a female God that could bring good luck. This he only gave to people who were very kind, usually women. The image (a line drawing) could only be seen in the pattern of light reflected off the slightly dented mirror, it was not shown on the engraved side. I never did find out her name.

The root word “shadad” (שדד) means “to overpower” or “to destroy”. This would give Shaddai the meaning of “destroyer”,
that would seem to explain why the old testament wants to kill everyone
