It would appear that ethane-1,2-diol is the only sweet tasting compound ever found in spaaaaaaaace.

My mistake, the sugar called glycoaldehyde has also been found in space, though it is slllllightly larger than glycol.

Ah, that’s better. I did know that at least one of the glycols was sweet. Didn’t know it was also known as ethane-1,2-diol.
