Well worth reading. I see that book excerpt is about a prediction 100 years into the future from 1963.

Back in 1963, what you you have predicted for the year 2063? Back then (assuming I was old enough to make a prediction) I would have expected WW III followed by economic collapse and the ascent of communism, and population collapse before or after we ran out of non-renewable resources. I also would have expected Jetson-like buildings and flying cars (I still want a car that folds up to fit in a briefcase). I can distinctly remember that I expected human colonisation of the moons of Saturn within my lifetime, with spacecraft on their way to the nearest stars.
