Is gravitation another SR eye tricker with time dilation mediating gravitation? ie, is the effected particle’s time going in a perfectly straight line and creating the appearance of it’s path through space curving?

No, it is not merely a matter of appearance.

I forgot asking questions on a Sunday raises the toll bridge troll. Care to add any detail to that open ended affirmation GateKeeper?

Um, it’s Monday.

Yes you are right.

You might be in Alaska where it is still Sunday. But seriously, if you are asking whether the curvature is just an appearance caused by the behaviour of light, the answer’s no.

to at least partially excuse my awkward reference to a path through space curving I will point out that it is not my poor application of terminology that has proliferated the confusion. The term space curvature is entirely innaccurate and needlessly misleading. It is not space that curves around a mass it is time that dilates.

How did I refer to light in any way?
The expression “eye tricker” implies the effect of light, since detecting light is all eyes do.

I should have said logic tricker. Sorry….

… to return this thread to the subject…..
Is gravity mediated by SR and time dilation?
The explanation of gravitation I am going with. Distortion of a particles chirality by the time dilation of a larger mass.
I’m sure there will be a collective sigh of relief………..
