The only reason I can suggest for religion not eventually dying out is if humans fail to continue evolving. In which case we’d presumably become extinct.

My very unprofessional POV is that as mental health care improves, I mean IF – not as, then religion could go the fuck away. Religion as part of the praying to sky pixies, believing that doing confessions will make it okay that you’ve done or said something dreadful….that type of thing. Relying on some old stories that explained stuff because the people of the time didn’t understand about things like science and stuff.
I might wake up soon and add to this list :P

A chicken was a kind of domesticated bird with poor flying ability, and an Irishman was a person from Ireland, an island nation to the west of Europe.
