Back at you all. :)
C'mon bully I'll pull you out of the sky.
just remember that when everyone runs, you can still take the bully on by yourself.

Just about to go out and see if we are having new potatoes or roast potatoes with lunch today. I’m a bit early digging up the patch, not quite died down yet…..but there might be something there. And it’s in very poor ground, they were put there to break it up.

I’ve pulled out the Royal Doulton, rediscovered 4 Stuart crystal water glasses, and set the table with red and green alstromeria. This one:

Charming photos, you two…none from here altho’ Miss Red has purchased a modern version of a Polaroid, and was taking happy shots to scan and email to Ragamuffin, over in Mexico (who rang us on Christmas Day)…Fashionista now owns a “selfie stick” and thus was able to include all of us in one photo (which was also sent to Ragamuffin.

Went chopin for …. will think of it in a minute…to provide a screen for Miss Red’s kitchen window. this window is ground level but a screen is needed to (a) stop passers-by (the hill outside is a popular exercise path) from looking in, and (b) cut down the glare from the street lamp across the road…

Gardenia. My story is, we went with her iPhone (of course) and so we were able to check out the dimensions of quite a few of the gardenias on show…ended up with a magnifica I think. doesn’t have to be dense, just break up the line of sight and shadow the street light..Fashionista is going to dig the hole and fill with Searles potting mix, soak well, and then plant the plant. I said if she keeps it mulched it should do OK…she thought of bark mulch but I said I reckon they encourage termites (well I’ve seen termites in bark mulch) so her grass clippings will be fine…if she puts a cardboard toilet roll thingy around the plant that will keep the mulch off the trunk…I found it amusing to check the internet on the phone for the dimensions of the plant…they used to have it on the backs of the labels but none of the labels did…
