Subject: what flower is this?

Morning all, just wondering if anyone knows of this flower possibly cradled with spikes. I have never seen this one. I think it was photographed in a U.K. garden.

I was wondering about growing here, but it seems to be for a temperate garden area, no good for here most likely.
Even the seed capsule looks amasing.

I grew it in Melbourne. A lovely flower and yes, the seed pods provide continued interest. Self seeds readily.

In other words a self sowing cottage garden herb. That if cinditions are good enough will be self sown cottage village herb.

Oh, and there are quite a few colours of it these days. We’ve grown it in my family for 50 years or more. Originally you only got blue. But there is now white and purple too.
