Well it was doomed in the beginning, when some bright spark thought it was a good idea to call it The Torch.
Another fire in a highrise nearby was started by a cigarette in a bin.

As for fire materials. Upholstery is the main fuel source. This is all made from petroleum products these days and is only slightly less energy-dense than pure petrol.
