Subject: The BGs on the move?

many of you will know that it has been our dream to leave the humdrum of the burbs and get a bit of land in country Victoria. Well today Mr BG has applied online for a job that was written for him that covers NE Victoria. If he is successful it paves the way for us to sell up here and get ourselves a few acres in countryside. the idea is that the equity we hold in this place should be enough to buy something outright and we will not require a second income. That will mean I will be able to use my time growing our own food etc. instead of earning $$$$. Needless to say that we are very excited about the possibility of our dream being realised.

Great news BG. I’m so excited for you. That’s the same move we made, from city to country and it was one of the best things we ever did. Even though now, our house and our land is to be swallowed up by a proposed new dam in the area I will never regret the initial move.

I found that a little bit of country allowed so much more gardening freedom. I could even grow trees that would eventually grow huge and it idin’t matter. Then of course there is the domestic animals you can have. We haven’t gone in to them because we go away quite a bit but you will be able to have all the poultry you could ever want.

My fingers are crossed now for MrBG to get the necessary job and then you’ll be full steam ahead. Good Luck MrBG!

I LOVE doing that to people in the flesh, then walking away with a straight face if I can. The bewildered look on the victim’s face is priceless.

Then there is a pause, someone explains it to them……..

on Thursday just before we left for the MotoGP, Mr BG got a call from the Hawthorn Branch of the company (he has applied to the Bendigo Branch). Apparently they are very interested in him if he doesn’t get the Bendigo based job, who he hadn’t heard back from yet. Now this company is the only one who doesn his line of work in the Bendigo area, so even if he doesn’t get the Bendigo one working for them in Hawthorn will still be a forward step to us becoming country bumpkins.

Today he spoken to them again and he has an interview on Friday.
