With the modern technology and statistics ( fast computer aided data crunching ) available to cricket, do you think there has been a tangible improvement in field placements.
ie: Has the field catch & dismissal rate increased?

I think there are a lot more individual tactics that go into the pre-match preparation
Thing is, computer modelling may show the others a weakness but at the same time it shows you your strengths.
It would also help with team selection & batting order.
Maybe we could do away with actual flesh and blood players and just simulate the matches on a computer

Do you mean psychological tactics?
Would they utilise any statistical data to formulate their tactics?
What do you think of tictacs?

It’s a long way to the top if you want to rock and roll?
It’s a long way to the 50th over when you’ve just taken a wicket in the 12th.

I knew at this point that Aussies were going to win the game. I still watched some of it but was busy doing other stuff. Came back to watch the Aussies bat and fell asleep by the 20th over. Woke up when it was over.
To think, I couldn’t walk away from the TV when South Africa played New Zealand.
