“Servical, blynx, jungle-bob, ocebob, caracat, lepjag, titigon, pumapard”, just a few of the many names for cat (felid) hybrids.

There are so many different authenticated hybrids between different cat species that it makes me wonder about the whole “species” thing. So far as I can tell, there doesn’t seem to be anything stopping the hybridisation of even domestic cat and lion other than size.

Do you think that we’ve overstated the difference between feline species, that they should really be subspecies?
