Marian Keyes novel, chocolates, cookbook, earrings, and fresh croissants from the bakery for breakfast. All I need now is to get the backyard tidied up and for Mr Y to mow it so it becomes a thing of beauty and I’ll be a happy girl!

Fan-bleeding-tastic.

The anklebiters were each brewing a tantrum before we went out to the block yesterday arvo, so I did the speech “when it’s your birthday I make it a wonderful day for you, so now it’s my birthday you can pull yer heads in and decide you’re gonna have a good time or else” and they did!!

Half a dozen friends came and sat around the fire with us, we walked around the block and explained how the house will grow, ate far too much food, one friend even had a red wine I liked (tasted like raspberry cordial!), cooked rissoles on the camp fire, blew out candles on a cake, bloody brilliant.

Couldn’t have wanted a better day :)
