i think i have internet explore 7 not sure its the one that has taps so i think it is number 7 and when i am on the hyperforum when i try and read a post in comes up in a new page in internet explore is that my computer or would it be the sever

when you first open up the meega forum there is in the big middle window a ‘ie and operas users click on this’ statement in there

Have the SSSF TT SG and gardening forum….. as this holiday forum will not be hounded as much by the gardeners…once word has gotten out…..

that was for you vege gardener, it makes the posts appear in the centre window like they are supposed to ;-)

Yep, Opera behaves the same.

You have to click a chat icon for this set of forums before you click a post, then a chat icon in the ABC ones before you click a post there.  It’s because they’re on two separate websites — it’s a security thing to stop malicious websites from hijacking a frame to a remote website without you knowing what it’s up to.

So whenever you flip from a cb88 forum post to an ABC post, click an ABC chat icon first, and vice-versa.

That one’s in cb88’s control — I merely gave him these colours cos they’re the ones I use as my user css when I want to be able to see garish websites.

Personally I would be happy with just the Holiday and Gardening Forums. If I wanted to frequent the others I would use the other hyperforum. You can have TOO many forums on one screen!!! lol!!

my suggestion would be to make the unread link and the text colours a bit brighter, and leave the read link colour the same.

looks at megaforum(sssf,tt,scribbly,holiday), baut, godlike,overlander,aussie 4×4 forums all open all over the screen

I have been so busy in my garden, heaps of cutting’s of rhododendrons.. conifers and many other things potted up . New vege area cleared and compost/ worm wee and other goodie’s added..sheep poop dug in and turned over..

this firefox has5 tabs open, the baut one has 3, the overlander has 9 and the opera has 7 tabs open

plus ive got imgburn going in the background as well, backing up my dvd collection after two got scratched upstairs…

It’s a bit of a quick-n-dirty knockup from one of the others, so not all the links at the top work yet (some of them still link to ABC forums pages);  but Logout works for here, as do the Chat icons, and the Holiday Forum Goodnight icon.

Maybe I wasn’t that clear.  :o)

If you want to view posts from the ABC Forums, click the chat icon for one of those forums first.

If you want to view a post from the cb88 forum, click the chat thread icon for that forum first.

You’ll need to do that each time you want to change between the ABC and cb88 forums.

In the new one, however, because it’s all cb88 forums, once you’ve hit a Chat icon once, it will continue to work.

I logged in as normal on the one that shows all forums and it worked

Not sure — I think I had to make them for something in the Yahoo Mail window that was defaulting to black.  I don’t even remember where I got the names from — maybe the css for Yahoo?

That one is good, esp after using firefox’s key combo to reduce font size a couple of times!

Id love to ask a gardening question , but in the hyperforums I went to log in and it said user name and password don’t match. so I tried to re register but it say’s user name already in use. Arghh…

Anyways what I wanted to ask if anyone know’s about rhododendrons, I have a large white that’s gone leggy and I want to know if I can prune back into the woody part…

May be a browser or cookie problem. With Opera and IE7 you’ll need to click one of the chat icons before you try to load a post. After that there shouldn’t be any problems.

MMM it was still doin it to me but the other 3 work fine after i press the button the 2 new ones open up in a new window

Have a go at reloading this one. I’ve made a small modification that may fix the problem:

If you’re using the Five Forum Hyperforum, you actually need to click a chat thread icon from the ABC side (and wait for it to load) before viewing an ABC post, and click a chat icon from the cb88 side (and wait for it to load) before viewing a post from there. You’lll need to do this each time you swap from one set of forums to the other.

I’m actually using the Two Forum Hyperforum in one browser tab for here, and http://chrw.customer.netspace.net.au/hf/stsd.html in another browser tab for the ABC forums.

so I wus lookin about in tools> internet options> privacy > advanced >and ticked the ‘ override all cookie handling’ thingo and bam! I’m in !
