Subject: Eggplant and capsicum

I was moseying through the Qld DPI site (which ain’t what it used to be) and I came across the interesting comment that eggplant and capsicum should not be grown together.

Does anybody know why? I was planning to grow them together as they end up being cooked together in this household…

they’re compatible plants….maybe there’s some bug or disease that they share.

Thanks Pepe, Aquarium.

I think the information may have been aimed at commercial horticultural practices, rather than the home garden, but I thought I would ask here for Justin Case.
