This may sound like a weather report for a summer’s day on Earth, but soon astronomers could be issuing similar forecasts for alien planets.
Now, scientists have come a step closer to this goal by preparing basic weather forecasts for six exoplanets using data from the Kepler space telescope.
The University of Toronto, York University and Queen’s University Belfast say they have uncovered evidence of daily weather cycles on planets that exhibit different phases.
