The assembly and launch video from Sascha. I’m one of the tiny figures in that video.

There seems to have been an awful lot of trial and error before fixing on the spot to actually start building the thing ! :)
How high did it get?

London is not very high.
At the estuary it is practically at sea level.
Seems that it is using reusable stages, so that’s nice.

I don’t know.
Soho on a Saturday night can be pretty high.

Um, not very high, because it was so heavy. I can’t remember, 200 metres perhaps, high enough to be considered a successful flight.

Launch video (I expected it to go higher so missed parachute deployment).

Images, first the two sides of the electronic controller.

One of the two gas cylinders used for separating the components.

Internal, assembly and completed views.

Is that V2 rocket size ?
I get it now
a walkie talkie was used for either launch or separation or both

Thanks for the photos.
Looks like a fun time was had by all :)

Was very much worth the visit.
The second-most fun was when the bottom and middle parts of the rocket refused to line up, leaving a one inch gap on one side (as seen on one of the images above). Not a good way to ensure that it flies straight.
The most fun was when it was hit by Category 1 hurricane force winds after assembly while sitting on the launch pad. Beaufort 9 or 10 (about 100 km/hr, 30 m/s), very many tents at the campground completely destroyed, as well as structural steel fixtures such as the cinema screen. I thought, there’s no way the V2 rocket will survive this – it did, amazingly.
mollwollfumble’s definition of “fun” does not include humour.
Any photos of it taking off and the crash site?
Two videos of it taking off. See above for links.
No photos of crash site. The only problems on landing were one slightly crushed fin, and dragging of the nosecone as the parachute failed to deflate. All three parachutes were man-rated, and none carried more than 150 kg.
