Which is the best of the lemon varieties for juice? Dad’s planning on putting one in, so thought I’d ask. I’m going to put some in too, but I’ll have forgotten your answers by the time I get around tuit.

there’s not that much of a choice, as far as i understand the matter. myer lemon suited to cool climate and lisbon or eureka for warmer climate. if the intended use is for lemonade, and climate is suitable, than a lemonade citrus fruit could be the thing. a lemon though does have more uses than a lemonade fruit.

It’s more a case of which suits the area.
There’s a comparison about half way down the page.

I have a Meyer here in the sub-tropics and it fruits like mad. I do know that citrus orchardists don’t grow Meyer because they aren’t a true lemon. But they are certainly suited to the home grower.

still good flavour but not as sour, and certainly juicy.

meyer may grow up in the tropics…but it’s about the only lemon that grows well in cool climate. the others don’t fare that well in melbourne cold (or colder) conditions.
