A friend of mine used to breed Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, and she said that any establishment that had royal patronidge ie Royal Melbourne Golf Club etc cannot refuse entry of Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, but they could deny access of all other dogs, how likely is this?

Teleost, thanks, did seem to me to be so, but I am sorry that this is so, I do like eccentric stuff like that the Poms seem to be good at.

People shouldn’t circulate such easily-disproven myths.

I would have loaded her and her dawg in the car, gone to e.g. Royal Melbourne Golf Club and put it to the test.

She would have had to admit an error, or else indulge in a most eccentric and entertaining argument with the establishment.

Speaking of people who don’t know the Internet, I watched a short clip on some high school kids who were assigned an elderly person to teach them the Internet. The process was lovely and now there are some social media savvy octogenarians out there. Should happen across the country.

That would make a good tourist attraction.

Have this red light that comes on when someone presses it on the Internet, but have the light on top of some building, skyscraper or sculpture

A bit like that reddit button thing.

telstra is shocking for that.
Went in there on saturday and there were 8 people in line to be served by 1 staff member.
There were 8 other staff members in the shop, all teaching grey nomads how to download and use apps…

Since this is a thread about dogs, I may as well add a comment here that says as much about intelligence testing as about dogs.

The science project (seen on TV) was to determine which are more intelligent, domestic dogs, dingos, or wolves. At least six of each were tested.

Three intelligence tests were given.
1. A simple maze leading to food.
2. Moving to where a human points.
3. An impossible challenge, the intelligent response was to give up quickly.

Wolves did much better than domestic dogs on intelligence test 1.
Domestic dogs did much better than wolves on intelligence tests 2 and 3.
Dingos scored partway between wolves and dogs.

What this highlights for me is the exceptionally good idea of using all three of these different types of intelligence tests.
