NASA’s Mars Reconnaissance Orbiter (MRO) has detected deposits of glass within impact craters on Mars. Though formed in the searing heat of a violent impact, such deposits might provide a delicate window into the possibility of past life on the Red Planet.

Good. If I remember correctly, impact glass was already detected on Mars by one of the rovers. It has certainly been detected on the Moon by Apollo, including “Apollo 15 green glass clod 15426”. The orange soil found by Apollo 17 didn’t contain impact glass beads, it contained volcanic glass beads.
