Subject: Hydrangae Problem

Hi all you learned people.I have a small problem with a couple of hydrangeas in pots. The new, outside shoots of the plant are drooping and dying,to that end i will probably cut them off.The rest of the plant is fine.Good strong growth with good colour in the rest of the leaves.Any info would be appreciated.Regards…………..Al

Al, are these Hydrangeas in pots or in the ground? SA has been very dry of late, and your Hydrangeas could be thirsty???

Sorry about the delay in answering PM,have been very busy.Yes the hydrangeas are in 18inch pots.Since i posted this problem i have cut the dead tips off.The rest of the plant looks great, with small blooms appearing.Regards….al
