Dying with a smile on your face.
Ultimate as in meaning last?
I guess it would be the doctor saying: ‘this doesn’t look good”

I was thinking more in terms of “ultimate” meaning the “best, rather than the last” but your answer is valid.

Expectations. The lower they are, the less the disappointment.
1. good sleep (that refreshes)
2. death (in the case that sleep doesn’t^)

Yes, so why is it illegal? and how do you punish a corpse?
>why is it illegal?
1. the state has a monopoly over violence
2. individuals (might) use it to escape the consequences of their misdeeds
3. a) if you did something that encouraged someone to self-terminate your contribution can be complicated
….b) the state likes to keep things simple (including maintaining the power of law)
4. morally and ideologically it may result in making life/lives less important/valuable

We had this question a while back. Take a rocket straight up (not into orbit) and jump out in hard space wearing scuba gear. Plummet back to Earth at a high enough Mach number to get 20 degrees C of frictional heating. On entering the ocean continue down to the bottom of the ocean, catching new biological species on the way, before rising to the surface, if still alive, for collection.

Am assuming you mean “with current technology”. With future technology, I’d rather like to explore an extrasolar planet.
Time check.

I read the thread title to refer daesh.
For me? Birthing a child. The greatest feeling so far, for me, has been holding that new life against me and feeling the intense heat of another human that I grew. No other feeling has surpassed that experience.

Trust women to get all the best parts to themselves.

It is, how it is. It isn’t that men begrudge the facts.
>The greatest feeling so far, for me, has been holding that new life against me and feeling the intense heat of another human that I grew.
wife’d probably say same, and of being pregnant. And being friends with her offspring.

Have to admit that males also feel much of this time in the same way.
This.

>Have to admit that males also feel much of this time in the same way.
No doubt, though can’t speak for the generalized male
I can’t, for example, ever know what it feels like to be pregnant, though there’d be vestiges of it about me because i’m descended from equal males and females’n could have been a female if things’d gone quite differently, being as I am (nearly) the same species.
Watched both my kids being born, can’t say say I enjoyed that greatly, especially watching the doctor sow up between the wife’s vagina and anus, in which case most of the local anesthetic wasn’t delivered properly (squirted everywhere) and the girl got to feel every stitch. And there was the rather enthusiastic pushing down on the tummy to exit the afterbirth.
But come nine months she was keen for the new little human to be on the outside, uncomfortable as it had become.
I wish I’d been more present in the moment when Little Miss was born. I hadn’t slept for almost 36 hours so as soon as she was born I asked for a nap. Not “How is she?”, it was “Can I sleep now?” (The answer was no.)
Growing a human is pretty amazing and bloody uncomfortable. Then they scream and cry and poo and cry and eat and scream and you wonder why you were looking forward to it… :)
