7/168 Stumps
Nevill’s doing well.. only needs to push on to a double ton and the poms will be in trouble.

It is true that cricket can be a funn old game. We make 136, England ends that innings leading by 145, we catch them and start building a slender lead. If we can build thta up to a lead of say 128 then the possibility exists for bowling them out.

Sigh…
Guess it’s true what they were saying in England, the Aussie batsmen can’t play genuine swing bowling, or seam bowling. They haven’t the technique against the moving ball, nor the patience to play out a long innings.
I wonder what type of pitches they’ll prepare for the rest of the series…?

And so.. back at halvsies.. this is how the game has panned oput. If we can hold on a little loger, this pitch will give us the advantage to try to bowl them out. Pray that our bowlers have it in them with the fielding required of them.

Until a result is reached, or 5 days completed; whichever happens first.
We are at about 1/3 of day three, and England need only 121 to win. Which they should do in around 2-3 hours.

I wonder if they’ll bat him at 3 or 4 at Trent Bridge.
I’d also be inclined to give him the new ball, Trent Bridge is a happy hunting ground for genuine swing bowlers.

I realise it would be a big blow to Clarke, who has done his honest best, but I think they really should give the captaincy to Watson for the rest of the series.
